What is the process for custom wedding invitations?

How many invitations should I order?

When ordering invitations, it is best to plan for 10% for errors or omissions.

What information do I need to include for my wedding invitations?

  • Names of the bride's parents/other hosts
  • First name and surname of the bridegroom
  • Date of the wedding ceremony (including the year)
  • Wedding ceremony details, (where it is taking place)
  • Time of the wedding ceremony
  • Location and time of the wedding reception
  • RSVP date by when your guests should respond.

You may also want to include:

  • Directions to the venue
  • Map and full address/contact details of the venue
  • Accommodation details
  • Guest local attractions/recommendations
  • Dietary requirements
  • Transportation instructions.

When should I send out my wedding invitations?

Rule of thumb is to send your invitations 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding. Destination weddings will need more time for guests and getting back to your vendors, so 8-10 weeks or sooner. You should plan on ordering your wedding invitations 4-8 months prior to your wedding to account for design and production. 

When should I order my save the dates?

Save the dates typically send out 6-8 months prior to your wedding. It is best to get started on your save the dates as soon as possible. 

Do you provide physical proofs?

Physical proofs are available for an added fee depending on the invitation price. This will be added on to your final balance.

How is my stationery delivered?

We deliver your orders via USPS priority mail with tracking information and insurance. If you are local, we will be happy to plan and personal hand-off.

Do you provide printing?

Absolutely! Please get in contact with us to find out in-house printing options.

I have my own boards, can you write on them for me?

Currently, we do not take on materials from clients (signage).

For calligraphy - what format does my guest list need to be in?

If you are interested in calligraphy services, a pdf will be sent to you with the formatting information.

What is your typical turnaround for calligraphy services?

Typical turnaround for 100 invitations is 2 weeks. Hand-lettered services are dependent on client approval of proofs. Signage typically takes 1-2 weeks. These times frames are not guaranteed and can be better established after a custom project inquiry.

Do you offer rushing services?

Currently, we are not taking on any rush orders.
